Check disk space in Windows 95
To check available and used disk space in Windows 95:
1) Open 'Windows Explorer':
a) Choose the Windows 'Start' button to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Programs'. (The Programs menu appears.)
c) Select 'Windows Explorer'. (Windows Explorer opens.)
2) Click on the drive icon to select the desired drive.
3) Do one of the following to check disk space:
a) Use the 'File' menu:
1] Click on the drive icon to select the desired drive.
2] Select the 'File' menu and select 'Properties'. (The Properties dialog box appears.)
3] Choose the 'General' tab.
4] Look in the 'Used space' and 'Free space' locations.
5] Choose the 'Cancel' button.
b) Use the drive's popup menu:
1] Right-click on the drive icon.
2] Select 'Properties' from the popup menu. (The Properties dialog box appears.)
3] Choose the 'General' tab.
4] Look in the 'Used space' and 'Free space' locations.
5] Choose the 'Cancel' button.
NOTE: The disk space statistics can also be read from the pie chart, or from the numbers above the chart.
